On-line analyser for the continuous measurement of porosity of paper and non-wovens web during their manufacture. Suitable for use on a wide range of different grades and porosities – including packaging papers, cigarette papers, security papers, graphical papers, filter papers & non-wovens.
The Microperm 600 Smart is the latest version resulting from Avatron’s 25 years experience in on-line porosity measurement. Porosity values can be displayed in a range of different industry units including Gurley, Bendtsen, Sheffield & Ceresta.
Measuring porosity online enables the user to optimise their pulp refining and wet end chemistry. This results in a saving of refining energy, wet end chemical usage and reduced web breaks.

A system is capable of supporting 2 measuring heads and can be calibrated on a grade by grade basis if required.
