Uniform specimen size is critical for repeatable and reproducible test results. The Taber Triple Cut Specimen Shear will prepare consistent specimens for most materials up to 0.020″ in thickness.
The Taber ® Stiffness Tester is used to evaluate material stiffness and resilience. This precision instrument provides accurate test measurements to ± 1.0% for specimens of between 0.1 and 5.56 mm thickness.

The Taber Triple Cut Specimen Shear will prepare consistent specimens for most materials, including paper, plastic, thin metallic sheets and foil up to 0.020″ in thickness.
The standard specimen size is 1 1/2″ x 2 3/4″.
For test ranges 1 or 2, specimens must be rotated 90 degrees and cut a second time to obtain the required 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ sample size.
