IGT SimplyMix Ink Mixer

An economical, laboratory-sized unit for rapid mixing of small amounts of inks and other materials

Typical mixing time, for fully dispersing a powdered pigment into a silicone sealant, or mixing a fumed silica, or precipitated chalk silicone formulations is less than 20 seconds. Mixing liquid inks, or paste inks, takes 20-40 seconds. These operations, would otherwise require 3+ hours of mixing time. Mixing paint and quality testing can be completed in minutes.

The spinning action of the mixer removes air from the blend and delivers a finished product. Maximum mixing capacity is 150 g (including the cup holder, cup and content) approx. 50 ml/50 g of mix materials.

Dual rotation of the mixing cup creates the mixing. The motor rotates the base plate of the unit clockwise, while the basket is spun counter-clockwise. The combination of these forces, in different planes, creates a high-speed outward material flow. The result is laminar shear within the material, giving pure mixing throughout the sample.
