Replacing Obsolete IGT Equipment
Obsolete IGT Inking and Ink Testing Units and Their Current Day Replacements
Over the years, IGT equipment has gained a justified reputation for its long service life. Units, such as the A1-3 and A2-3 printability testers have, for years, been a consistent workhorse in many colour laboratories around the world.
IGT stopped manufacturing these older units some time ago and stocks of the replacement parts, used for service and repair, are no longer available. In that time, engineering, electronics and software have evolved and, as you would expect, IGT has developed a completely new range of even more effective and efficient printability testers with their Amsterdam series.
We have several customers currently exploring the migration of their testing equipment to new Amsterdam units and to help with that planning and for clarity, we’ve detailed below the various replacement options.
