IGT Inking Unit AE Four
The successor to the renowned IGT AE Inking Unit
The IGT AE Four inking unit consistently distributes and applies inks and oils onto printing discs used on AIC2-5-2000 & IGT GST range and Amsterdam ranges.
It can ink up to four printing discs simultaneously. Temperature control of the roller is not available on this model, which has a simple operator interface, using only push buttons.
Applications – can be used with conventional and UV offset inks; IGT pick test oils and pick test inks.
Operation
The IGT AE Four inking unit consists of a top roller and two steel distribution rollers. The top roller can be used to ink a maximum of four printing discs and the inking speed can be set at either 0.3 or 0.6 m/s.
When the unit has distributed the ink evenly the printing discs are brought into contact with the top roller and inked during the desired time. After this time the discs are lifted electrically. Easy accessibility means that the unit can be cleaned quickly after the test.
Options include a high resolution IGT Ink Pipette and a cover to prevent misting.
