Rycolab Flex Durability Tester – Gelboflex
Measures resistance against repetitive strain for films, composites and coating films
The Rycolab Flex Durability Tester measures flex failure by measuring the pinholes formed in the sample structure.
Standard: ASTM F392 F- flex durability of flexible barrier materials
Samples (200 by 280 mm) are attached to the flex tester mandrels. The flexing action is a combined twisting motion, with a horizontal compression. Effectively a repeated twisting and crushing of the film. The test set up delivers a twisting motion of 440º in the first 90 mm of the stroke, followed by a straight horizontal motion of 65 mm. The speed is 45 cycles per minute.
