Schopper Riegler Freeness Tester

Measures the rate of drainage of a diluted pulp suspension

The drainage rate is related to the surface conditions and swelling of the fibers and the test is widely used to track the changes during the beating and refining process. Applicable to all kinds of pulp in aqueous suspension.

In principal the instrument is the same as the Canadian Freeness Tester except that the pulp samples have a lower concentration and the scale is reversed in comparison with the amount of water collected. Complies to ISO 5267/1

Manufacture
The tester has a cast iron base with bullseye level and levelling feet; a stainless steel structure; nickel plated bronze drainage chamber; funnel; spreader cone and sealing cone; Plexiglas safeguard and handle for drainage chamber; ISO standard pneumatic components; hook spanner and fixing base for comfortable exchange of phosphor bronze wire screen
