Static & Dynamic Friction Testing

The force of friction between two objects, can either be measured as static friction (when neither of the objects is moving), or dynamic friction (when one object is moving). Our dedicated units measure both.

The Thwing Albert FP-2260 has the option of a heated platten. Both heated and non-heated versions are supplied with a 180 degree peel arm for testing adhesive strength of tape / labels.

Units such as the Vantage Tensile Tester, offers the option of friction testing as an add on.

Additional software packages are availailable for data management and interrogation and presentation.
